The Arter, in Stratford Upon Avon, is a fascinating shop - based in Hall's Croft, which is part of the Shakespeare's Birthplace Trust. This consists of five buildings: Shakespeare's Birthplace, Mary Arden's Farm, Ann Hathaway's Cottage and Garden, Harvard House and Hall's Croft. Hall's Croft was built for Shakespeare's daughter, Susanna, who married Dr Hall. (Coincidentally, my name is Susannah - fate, although I tend to go by Annah!)
All of the buildings are a fascinating oasis of history and beautifully kept by dedicated staff - and I'm really keen to visit again and take my boyfriend around. Below, are a few photos of inside Hall's Croft - and don't forget to keep reading to see what delights The Arter has to offer, too!
Until next time!
